Elisa Bocca was born in Ivrea in 1980 and spent the first fifteen years of her life living in various African countries.
Her itinerant childhood profoundly shaped the rest of her life, making her a captive of the beauty of travel and instilling in her a deep love for languages and foreign cultures.
At sixteen, she won a one-year scholarship to the United States, where she lived with a local family, and at twenty-five she moved to Shanghai, where she lived and worked for three years, developing a passion for Chinese culture and Mandarin.
In 2012, she married Alessandro and set off with him on a journey around the world, which they completed in 321 days without ever boarding a plane. She recounts this adventure in her first book: Coipiediperterra.
